In the creation of this character, I deconstructed my memories and experiences, using them as references and elements to shape the character's appearance. The repetitive process of creating this character provides me with a continuous experience of mental time travel, allowing me to reflect on my past, observe the present, and envision the future. Bobu serves as a medium connecting my past, present, and future.

As an interesting fact, the name is inspired by the bouba/kiki effect.

Religion of the One Trillion Dollar Bill

One phenomenon that is interesting to me is why money is always associated with faith or religion. Consider why people throw coins into fountains; in China, people burn Joss paper for their ancestors.

So, why do we base our beliefs on how much money we spend? Like, the more money we spend, the more we believe. Debt is an important idea that guides us to make payments in a value system, and commercial values give power.

In this project, I want to criticize how people spend money on “stupid things.” I wanted to make a mockery of the “magic of money.” I created my system that asks people to buy a “one trillion dollar bill” to cleanse them of their sins and ask them to spend their money in places where it has virtually no value.
